Simple Hiccup Cure
This isn't a recipe but it is one of my most popular health hints from the blog so I thought I'd keep it up for everyone who needs it.
And yep, everybody has their pet cure for hiccups. They might even swear up and down that it works. Yeah whatever, needs must.
The LL2B hiccup cure is fast, easy, and you won't look like a complete ass while doing it.
Step 1
Stare straight ahead, keep still, raise your eyes about 15 degrees above the horizon line (or you know, just slightly raise your eyes.)
Step 2
Take a deep breath - HOLD IT for 15 seconds. (To avoid looking ridiculous do not puff out your cheeks like a 5-year-old.) Without letting any air out take in a tiny sip of air and HOLD it. Do this 2 more times.
Step 3
Let it all out. Wait a minute. Repeat if necessary.
How it works: The eye state calms you down and allows you to focus. The breath holding and sipping air routine breaks the freaky vagus nerve action which caused your diaphragm to get all out of whack in the first place.
