FAQ

Do you still sell the balms?
Sometimes -- check here to what is available: Least Likely 2 Breed Shop

I see you've added a recipe section -- does that mean I can make and sell LeastLikely2Breed balms?
Nope. The LeastLikely2Breed recipe site is a free service for home use only. LeastLikely2Breed intellectual property remains intact: the balm names, styles, images and all other content on this site are not to be distributed commercially by another party without proper attribution.

There is a weird circle pattern in some of the balms -- what is that?

Next time you're in the grocery store, check out what solid coconut oil looks like -- it's kind of like a crystal, right? Well, in some of the balms without zinc oxide you'll see this pattern show up because coconut oil is a large portion of the formula in those balms.

Something is wrong -- my balm melted or is too stiff.
What can I say? Balm is like that -- it's happiest at 60 - 80 degrees farenheit.  If you want a more flexible product you'll need to make a cream.

Can I make the balms without the Essential Oils?
Yep. We believe there are added benefits to essential oils, but by all means, if you are allergic, don't like the scent or cannot afford them -- feel free to skip them.

Where can I find coconut oil and the other ingredients?
Coconut oil and most of the essential oils can be found at your local healthfood store. Anhydrous lanolin can be found at the drugstore and beeswax can be found at the craftstore. Of course bulk quanties of any these items can be ordered over the web.

What does LeastLikely2Breed mean? Obviously you've had a kid.

Alright, smarty pants here's the story. All of a sudden in 2007 we and a bunch of 30 something artist friends had a baby boom. None of us ever planned on having a kid ... Unintentional pregnancy -- yay!

How did you come up with the names?
I like double entendre (or entente as the proper French would have it). A lot. I'm dislexic and I swear my gift for seeing double meanings comes from that. Now I'm trying to train google to recognize double entendre -- they totally suck at it.

Hey! I make funny stuff, can I be featured for a guest interview?
Maybe. This site is a pretty tight niche and work that is submitted should be spot on. Do you have that rare blend of crudeness, cleverness, and friendliness?

Requirements:
1. Body positive humor. Least Likely 2 Breed is about funny stuff, not about poking fun at people. I know the extremely popular sites on the web today are all, "Hey look at them, they look so funny!" -- i.e. poor, fat, hipster, disabled, ghetto, unskilled, uneducated, drunk.

That's not cool.

Least Likely 2 Breed is not down with schadenfreude. So, when submitting your work think silly, witty, clever and naughty.

2. Be willing to share a natural bath and body care recipe. It could be as simple as a bath salt but it should be mostly natural. If, however, you're submitting a formula with a water component, like a cream or lotion you may want to formulate the recipe to work with optiphen or another non-parben preservative.

3. Include good pics of your craft. I'll look for supporting images and do the front page button layout -- {unless you are totally jazzed to design that too}

4. I love history tid-bits and odd facts. If you submit an article I'll spice it up with some of scandalous points of interest. If you want to be a sweetheart you can include some fun facts related to your project with your submission.

How to submit:
Just send a link to your website through the contact form and I'll take a look. If you mainly do comedy, then include the body care recipe in your message. If you mainly do bath and body crafts, then send a quick funny write up so I can get a feel for your humor style.

Check out the most recent collaboration with A Bit A Bite (she did all the work, I just interviewed her and came up with the name).

Do you accept advertising?
No, not on this site.
